Went out to Tamarindos for lunch with a bunch of the department folks. I think it's good team building to go out on excursions like that. Even if I did bring my lunch today. The food was good, the atmosphere was fairly "authentic", and it was enjoyable.
After lunch we were allowed to leave in preparation for the holiday tomorrow. So that was nice.
My boss called me later to deal with some crap at work. So while I had to work, even after being told I could have the rest of the day off, I think it looked good that I was willing to take care of things. So there's that.
